Master of Business Administration
(Maritime and Logistics Management)

OVERVIEW

The course is designed to provide a higher degree qualification for candidates who wish to extend the depth of skills and knowledge developed in previous undergraduate or postgraduate studies. It combines all the subjects of a traditional MBA with a strong maritime and logistics focus.

The target audience for the course is those already employed in the maritime or transport industries or those seeking to gain management positions within organisations involved in the international maritime and transport sectors.

The first year of study is the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma where the aim is to enable students to develop a holistic and analytical perspective of the maritime and transport industries.

In the final part of study students complete four further coursework subjects. The subjects build upon the studies completed in the Graduate Certificate and Diploma and will give the candidate an opportunity to study international trade and finance in relation to the maritime and transport industries.

On successful completion, MBA graduates may pursue a program of research by applying for Master of Philosophy/Doctor of Philosophy.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Senior management positions in international businesses in transport, logistics and maritime industries; ports and terminals management and administration at local and international levels; government positions.
