Private Education Act (EduTrust Scheme)

For Potential Students
Established in October 2009 under the Private Education Act, the Council for Private Education (refer to
www.cpe.gov.sg) is a statutory board empowered with the legislative power to regulate the private education sector. A quality assurance framework, known as EduTrust, will be introduced to provide a more effective assessment of private education providers.

Student Contract
It is the School’s standard operating procedure to enter into a Student Contract with International and Local Students prior to confirmation of enrolment and this policy is communicated to the Student through our various communication channels, including our website.

For Local Students, the School will grant the Student an option to enjoy the benefits of the medical insurance coverage for hospitalisation and related medical treatment throughout the entire course duration.

Fee Protection Scheme
Under the EduTrust Certification Scheme, private education providers must adopt a Fee Protection Scheme with the CPE-appointed service providers and provide medical insurance coverage for hospitalisation and related medical treatment throughout the entire course duration.

YMCA School has adopted the Insurance Scheme facilitated by CPE-appointed service provider, Lonpac Insurance Bhd.
